Weekend Recap — LOVB Classic (Kansas City)

The 2026 LOVB Classic wrapped up at Municipal Arena in Kansas City with three regular-season matches across the weekend.

Friday, February 13
LOVB Salt Lake 3, LOVB Austin 0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-18)
Salt Lake continues to be the class of the league. The sweep extended their winning streak and pushed the defending champs further down the standings. Salt Lake entered at 7-1 and just keeps rolling.

Saturday, February 14
LOVB Atlanta 3, LOVB Nebraska 0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-20)
Atlanta put on a clinic on Valentine's Day, dominating in nearly every statistical category. Middle blocker Onye Ofoegbu was sensational — 18 points, 13 kills, four blocks, and a .929 hitting efficiency that set a new LOVB single-match record (min. 10 attempts). Atlanta improves to 3-5 and may be turning a corner.

Sunday, February 15

Houston closed out the Classic with their sixth straight win, extending the longest active streak in the league. Jordan Thompson continues to lead LOVB in points, kills, points per set, and kills per set. Madison drops to 2-7 and has now lost seven straight since starting the season 2-0.
